Mind Hamdard · Optional printable page

Check the responsibility. Make room for a pause.

This is an optional planning page for adults, not a test of how much rest you deserve. Practical constraints and guilt can exist together. Use a few words or consider the questions without writing.

Privacy: print and write on paper, or use your own paper. This page has no answer fields and collects no entries. Leave names and sensitive details out, particularly on shared devices or printers.

Invented example: I feel I should keep studying because my family pays my fees. Tonight's agreed task is finished; the new task can wait. I can keep the study plan and take a break without requiring myself to feel completely comfortable first.

What actually needs attention?

What would happen if this particular task waited? Is anyone's immediate safety or essential care involved?

Is the responsibility covered, or is there a realistic arrangement or support I need?

Complete the rule if useful: I am allowed to stop only when… Is that a practical condition, or a standard that keeps moving?

Lack of leave, money, care cover, or safety is a real constraint. This page cannot solve it by asking you to think differently.

What pause is feasible?

If essential responsibilities are covered, what ordinary pause could fit my situation?

What do I predict will go wrong? Later, what did I actually observe, without checking repeatedly?

If guilt remains, can I leave the non-urgent task alone for this pause? What support would make that possible?

A break does not have to improve performance or remove guilt to count. Do not turn this into another target to meet.

Seek professional support if guilt repeatedly prevents stopping, brings severe self-criticism, or affects health and relationships. A safe conversation about demands may be as important as an individual coping strategy.
